Welcome to PTC and Friends Open Play PT. 5 — a community-driven pickleball session designed to provide fair, fast, and efficient matches for all participants. Our structured matchmaking system helps create balanced games, minimize waiting time, and maximize court usage, ensuring everyone gets plenty of opportunities to play.

Open Play Guidelines

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

• Check in upon arrival to confirm your participation.

• Be ready when your match is called. Players who are unavailable when called may be skipped and placed back in the queue.

• Match assignments and player rotations are managed by the system to promote fair play, balanced competition, and efficient court utilization.

• Players are expected to review and understand the Open Play gameplay format, rotation system, and match rules before game day. A tutorial video will be provided for reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD1O3R9B0Sw

• Players who are unsure about the gameplay format are encouraged to watch the tutorial and seek clarification before participating.

• Respect all players, organizers, officials, and venue staff.

• Maintain good sportsmanship and a positive attitude at all times.

• Wear appropriate sports attire and non-marking court shoes.

• Players participate at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to play.

• The organizer reserves the right to modify match rotations, schedules, or event formats when necessary to ensure the best experience for all participants.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Participant Cancellation

• Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the event start time are eligible for a 100% refund.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event start time are eligible for an 80% refund. A 20% administrative fee will be deducted to cover payment processing, scheduling, and operational costs.

• Participants may request a player replacement, subject to organizer approval.

Waitlist Participants

• Players who remain on the waitlist and do not receive a confirmed slot before the event starts will receive a 100% refund.

Organizer Cancellation

• If the event is canceled by the organizer due to weather, venue issues, insufficient participants, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive either:

• -A 100% refund, or

• -Event credit for a future PTC and Friends Open Play PT. 5 session.

No-Show Policy

• Participants who fail to attend without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund.

Refund Processing

• Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method and may take several business days depending on the payment provider.
